I’m sure some of you have heard the hype about Brazilian Blowout and the amazing benefits of this smoothing system, but for those of you who haven’t, I am going to spend some time going through the ins and outs of this system. What is it? How it’s done, Who's the perfect candidate? When is the best time of year to invest in this amazing hair service?
Firstly, let’s go into What is a Brazilian Blowout? A Brazilian blowout is a smoothing system that creates a protective protein layer around the hair that eliminates frizz and smooths the hairs cuticle. It can last up to 12 weeks if you take home the proper care products, and the more treatments you receive the smoother your hair can be.
How is this service done? A Brazilian blowout usually takes around 3 hours. We start by washing and clarifying your hair. Then we towel dry and section. We add the solution to small sections of the hair. We then blowout the hair and flat iron. After all of that styling we wash it out! After we wash the product out your hair will be more manageable, smooth, and so easy for you to style for up to 12 weeks!
Who is the ideal candidate for a Brazilian Blowout? The ideal candidate has curly, thick, or frizzy hair. BB makes your hair more manageable on a daily basis and decreases styling time substantially. You can have colored and or highlighted hair. The service only helps improve the shine and manageability of color-treated hair. We can even perform a Brazilian Blowout the same day as a color service.
Finally, When is the best time to invest in a Brazilian Blowout? Most people with curly, frizzy, unmanageable hair are no stranger to those times of year when your hair becomes even MORE difficult to deal with. Summer because of humidity and winter with all of that extra dryness and static. Although a Brazilian can be done every 12 weeks or so, I believe having this service done in the summer and the winter will give you the most bang for your buck on your daily styling and overall hair manageability.
